[To Blog Main]
It's been awhile since I last wrote a post before starting this dedicated blog. Let me see, yes it's the longest gap ever since W2C started having some kind of blog. Well, it's not intentional. There rather was little choice, tied as I was in some overdue assignments.
That's not to say I closed my eyes and ears to whatever was happening elsewhere. If you put Google Alert on autopilot (more on this later), you wouldn't need to toil hard to keep abreast of the latest. One fruit of that is the discovery of this blog-post of Matt Cutts, the effervescent Google man.
What does Matt say? In essence, he suggests making web content unique. He cites several examples, of which I particularly like Ning. Thanks Matt, it's a wonderful site. It really feels great to unearth gems every now and then.
IBLs, meaning in-bound links, is a term - I believe - invented by the legendary linkmaster Eric Ward. Shortly, another term, 'link baiting', comes into being. It's interesting to see another great linkmaker, Andy Hagans, offering 'link baiting service on a limited basis'. Andy's service costs $5995 - up by thousand bucks since I last checked - to be paid upfront.
All of these ultimately boil down to the simple concept, which is to create 'unique content'. Easier said, eh! What would be that unique content that brings you good number of one-way links over time? Well, to me it means writing lots and lots of focused contents and keeping on doing it.
Seems tough? If yes, Andy's $5995 service can be an excellent help. Looking at his credentials, there isn't a doubt his service will be worth every penny of yours.
But suppose you cannot afford Andy’s steep price (if you cannot you're not alone, it's same for me). Isn't there any other help?
Fortunately, there are. Take for example SiteSell's Value Exchange service. As the name says, there's 'VALUE' all the way. And surprisingly NO COST. Try it today, you'll be glad you did. Good luck.
