Try converting your posts into independent and separate articles. The advantage is that your articles can be referenced to by unique URLs, which increases their chance of getting linked.
Separate articles need not be big essays. In fact, relatively short and succinct articles usually do more good.
Writing Style
An easy flowing style is best suited for blogs. It is to be kept in mind that unlike thesis or whitepaper, whose readers may be experts in respective fields, blogs are read by people across different walks of life, from different countries. Easy use of language, avoiding technical jargons, and limiting grammatical mistakes are some other examples of good blog writing.
Keep Interest Alive
If it is possible not to 'spill the beans' all at once, it is a good ploy to follow for making money with content in your blog. For example, if you're writing an article like "10 sure ways to stop balding", why don't you split your suggestion into 2 separate articles with attractive bylines?

Frequency Matters
There are excellent blog-writers who post their articles say once or twice a week, or even less frequently. Such blogs seldom make money. The reason is simple.
Too many blogs are out there and readers have plenty of options to choose from. This means even good blogs are crowded out sooner or later.
In order to sustain stickiness of blog in the minds of readers, there has to be frequent posts. Posting daily certainly helps. If not, try posting every alternate day. More the posts, more is the chance of making money with content from blog.
